WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT......

DEPRESSION

Psalm 121

1 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from whence shall my help come?

2 My help comes from the Lord, who made the heaven and earth.

3 He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber,

4 Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.

6 The sun will not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul.

8 The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever.

Psalm 40:1-3
1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry.

2 He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay; and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm.

3 And He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.  Many will see and fear, and will trust in the Lord.

Isaiah 40:28-31
28 Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not grow weary or tired.  His understanding is
inscrutable.

29 He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases.

30 Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble and badly,

31 Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.
